At USC Student Basic Needs, we support students experiencing housing insecurity and homelessness with care, confidentiality, and compassion. We provide individualized support and connect students to critical resources, including:
- Housing Resource Guide – a curated list of emergency and long-term housing options in Los Angeles
- Rental Assistance through the Supplemental Funding Award – financial support to help cover rent or utility costs during times of need
- Off-campus housing referrals – assistance identifying affordable, student-friendly rental options near USC
- Navigation support for long-term stability – personalized help connecting to local services and securing sustainable housing plans
If you are currently navigating a housing challenge—or are unsure whether your situation qualifies—please complete a contact form.
Our housing-related services are meant to supplement students’ existing living arrangements and provide short-term assistance when unexpected challenges arise. While not intended to replace permanent housing solutions, these supports can help stabilize living situations, cover immediate needs, and connect students with pathways toward long-term security. By bridging gaps in times of uncertainty, we aim to reduce stress, protect student well-being, and allow students to remain focused on their academic and personal success.
